The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, organized, and collaborative Executive Director with a strong understanding of the engineering industry and related regulatory frameworks. This person must have a proven track record in advocacy, public relations, and government relations.
ACEC/MA, a 501(c)(6) organization, is an association representing the business interests of over 100 Massachusetts engineering, land surveying, and affiliated firms. Member firms range in size from a sole proprietor to large locally-based firms and branch offices of national firms. ACEC/MA is primarily focused on advocacy, partnering, education, networking and business services to support and provide value to our member firms. www.acecma.org.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a government affairs related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a non-profit organization, professional association, government agency, or similar environment.
Strong understanding of the engineering industry and related regulatory frameworks
This position requires occasional travel and attendance at evening or weekend events.
The Executive Director will have an office at The Engineering Center in Boston and may work remotely when circumstances allow.
The Executive Director should have a Massachusetts driver's license, access to a car, and the ability to drive, when needed, to attend meetings outside of the Boston office. ACEC/MA provides travel reimbursement for mileage, tolls, and parking for offsite meetings and events
Airfare, lodging, and meals are also reimbursed for extended work-related travel.
This position requires the submission of weekly online time reports to TECET using their time tracking platform.
