PrimeGlobal is seeking an experienced Training and Development head. This person will be responsible for all member facing and internal training and development programs and assist in recruitment efforts for the continued growth of the organization.
The primary objective will be to boost engagement through learning and development initiatives for association members by identifying training gaps and developing targeted solutions to address them. S/he will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. In addition to assessing the quality of training, this person will be responsible for assisting the Events Team Members to plan the training events in all regions.
Additionally, s/he will be responsible for working with the Regional Executive Director on identifying new opportunities for firm recruitment and engagement.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong passion for learning and development, excellent instructional design skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and engage with employees and members at all levels of the organization. Creativity, diligence, engagement and organizational abilities will be critical in delivering impactful training initiatives at all levels.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identify training needs by evaluating member firm needs
Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
Periodically evaluate ongoing training programs to ensure that they reflect appropriate changes and stay abreast of current trends and tools in employee development.
Build annual training program/calendar to include all major training events
Leadership Development Program- North America and UK&I Regions
Tax Training Levels 2, 3, and 4
Environmental Social Governance Training
Emerging Leaders initiative
Other Trainings as identified by member needs
Lead Communities of Practice in quarterly webinar discussions: Women in Leadership, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Today’s Tomorrow Leaders – a future leader development program and HR.
Serve as the point of contact for PrimeGlobal’s Emerging Leaders initiative
Identify potential members of this group
Facilitate communication with them via the AMS, in-person meetings, gatherings at conferences, etc.
Develop strategy on better engaging this demographic
Work with Regional Executive Director on Recruitment and Retention for NA firms
Play a key role in the onboarding and engagement of new firms.
Manage annual Women’s Leadership Summit
Own the agenda development and secure speakers
Contribute to development of social agenda
Participate in marketing efforts & outreach to increase attendance
Examine and develop training and development opportunities for staff at PrimeGlobal
Identify common people/training needs across firms and propose solutions that can be promoted widely.
Work with training partners to extend PrimeGlobal’s training support.
Develop relationships with key training leaders at member firms. Based on the insight obtained, anticipate/propose new initiatives to support firms.
Qualifications, Requirements and Skills
5+ years of leadership experience in a membership-based association or network. Experience/knowledge of the accounting industry preferred, but not required.
Proven experience in professionally managing multiple projects at a time
Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
Knowledge of designing training programs, identifying qualified trainers and successful recruitment into those programs
Ability to successfully present complex information to a variety of audiences, including Managing Partners and CEO’s of top accounting firms
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills: Communication - Organization - and Adaptability.
Proficiency in MS Office
Budget management
Bachelor’s degree Psychology, social science, communications, education, or related field
Travel approximately 15% time. Mostly domestic, but occasionally international. Passport required.
