OVERVIEW
In support of the Education & Events Department, this manager-level position is responsible for developing and executing the delivery of programs in support of Academy-led educational events and operational activities to serve member professional development and educational needs. This professional is part of a 2-person team that directly supports the Senior Director, Education & Events, and collaborates with Academy staff to plan and execute online and in-person programs in line with the Academy’s strategic plan. The Manager, Education Events, is a creative, solutions-oriented professional who wields a deep understanding of and experience with various technology platforms (such as ON24, Zoom, and more) to develop and deliver virtual, online, and in-person education programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide program management for all educational products and services, collaborating across departments and with volunteers to deliver value-focused, responsive education resources and events to members.
Manage and produce the Academy’s webinar programs and oversee use of the On24 platform in support of delivering a seamless and engaging attendee experience, including collaborating with departments to identify topics, coordinate content with subject matter experts, manage speakers, produce and execute delivery of events, and evaluate and analyze performance results.
Support the development, promotion, and execution of the Academy’s Annual Meeting program, ensuring that event logistics (such as registration, AV, and more) and third-party relationships are appropriately managed, and that the attendee experience excels and learning objectives are met.
Provide timely and relevant reporting and communications on status updates and performance metrics for assessing the effectiveness of education programs and event activities, including online and in-person programs such as webinars, seminars, forums, the Annual Meeting, and more.
Identify, schedule, and manage vendors and technology platforms in the execution of all meeting logistics and activities in the delivery of seminars, webinars, business meetings, conferences, and other educational resources offered across all departments of the Academy.
Assist the Senior Director, Education & Events with the successful execution of special projects as needed.
Travel to various Academy events and meetings throughout the year as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Management, Business related field; and a minimum of four years’ related experience and/or training within education and events; or equivalent combination of education and program delivery experience. Association management experience, preferably within education and/or conferences and a focus on hybrid execution of in-person and virtual programs is required.
Technical experience with education and event technology (such as ON24) and LMS platforms, required. Experience in online/distance learning, hybrid delivery, and project management is a major plus.
CAE and/or CMP a plus.
