POSITION SUMMARY:
Work with the Membership Director to develop programs, communications, and processes to create and maintain high member service and engagement levels for (c) Management’s clients, specifically focusing on the Association Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) client. Collaborate to develop and implement membership initiatives and strategies, supporting recruitment, retention, and member engagement. Create timelines and documentation for initiatives to maintain consistency and measure progress and success. Serve as the primary contact for cancer program members, facilitate their use of resources, and relay their needs and activities back to relevant departments. Identify opportunities for growth within existing programs and non-member programs. Maintain a focus on meeting clients' goals and provide high service to all stakeholders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain contact with ACCC Delegate Representatives (primary contact) at Cancer Program Member institutions. Work with them to collect data on their cancer program, including an accurate staff list (membership roster) to ensure all eligible staff receive benefits. Facilitate sharing of member program and ACCC information and resources.
Work with Supervisor to initiate, plan, and execute membership campaigns for ACCC, and develop promotional efforts and materials in collaboration with the Marketing Department.
Work with Supervisor to monitor, enhance, and track member engagement activities. Use this data to help plan and enhance retention, recruitment, volunteering, and committee efforts.
Collaborate with staff outside of the Membership Department to ensure targeted and substantive delivery of member services, programs, and recognition to increase member engagement.
Serve as manager of online discussion community and suggest methods to maximize engagement.
Develop and maintain a tracking system for recruitment and retention activities.
Generate and publish membership statistics and reports.
As needed, develop and deliver presentations, compose letters and emails, and participate in conversations to educate staff, members, and prospects on the value of membership.
Participate in data-mining efforts to increase contacts for members and nonmembers.
Travel to support ACCC events and to represent ACCC at external events.
Collaborate with Membership staff to outline and follow SOPs and ensure proper training on how to enter member and non-member data and track activities.
Provide a high-level of service to clients and their members.
Educate members and prospects on the value of association membership by articulating the benefits and opportunities available to members.
Participate in member engagement activities related to membership recruitment and retention, including outreach to unpaid members.
Perform special assignments and other duties as directed by Supervisor or Director, Membership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in marketing, communication, business, or a similar field.
A minimum of five years of member service experience in an association or non-profit with demonstrated success delivering high-quality customer service.
Experience implementing strategies for member recruitment, retention, and engagement.
Must possess excellent judgment and oral/written communication skills for extensive interactions with clients, healthcare professionals, and vendors.
Proficiency with other MS Office applications is expected.
Experience working with a membership database is required; experience with Salesforce/Fonteva is preferred
Experience working with an online community is preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work collaboratively with staff and association members to achieve results.
Strong organizational skills are essential to monitor multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that deliverables meet content, quality, and time standards.
Attention to detail is essential.
