About the Role
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will maintain the Accounts Payable records and supports the Finance Department. This is a part-time position with an average of 24 hours a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews and processes all invoices and check requests for the Association, LLCs and the Foundations using PN3 and Sage Intacct software. 
• Prints checks, obtains signatures, and mails or distributes checks. 
• Processes weekly EFTs for the Association and all LLCs.
• Research and correct any EFT and check returns.
• Processes yearend 1099s for the Association and all LLCs.
• Trains new employees on PN3.
• Responsible for working with cardholders and MasterCard on resolutions when there are disputed or fraudulent items.
• Provides new credit card holders with instructions/training on how to document and return the monthly bill.
• Conducts research regarding invoices and payments for vendors and staff.
• Prints account payable reports and maintains payable files.
• Prepares and requests W9’s as appropriate. 
• Monitors sales tax liability and prepares monthly sales tax return for review, and then files electronically as directed.
• Performs account reconciliations and monthly closing activities as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred:
Associate degree
2 or more years of in accounting or related

Travel
Travel for this position is not anticipated.

Remote Work & Residency Requirement
This position is eligible to work remotely for 3 days out of the week. 1 day out of the week must be spent in the office. From time to time, it may be required to come into the office additional days based on business needs.
 
Based on our business set-up and to maximize remote work opportunities, AIHA only employs individuals who live in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. To be considered a candidate must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. AIHA does not cover the costs associated with relocating.

                                                                             
Salary & Benefits
The pay for this position ranges from $28.85/hr-$30.05/hr based on experience and qualifications for the role. This position is eligible to participate in our 401(k) program, Life & AD&D, STD, LTD, flexible scheduling, telecommute options, and receives paid: holiday, personal, sick, and vacation leave.
