ACCP is seeking a motivated, self-starter as a Membership & Engagement Specialist. ACCP is located in Ashburn/Dulles, VA and offers a hybrid work model. The Membership & Engagement Specialist serves as the primary contact to effectively communicate with and engage new and existing members to maintain and grow the membership of the society as well as to provide opportunities for professional growth of the membership. Fresh ideas are welcome and attention to detail is a must! Strong communications, customer service and relationship-building skills are a must! Requires the ability to take guidance and work closely with Staff to maintain consistency of processes. Responsibilities include managing membership applications and materials and data in the iMIS Association Management System (AMS), assuming responsibility for the annual dues renewal and supporting other membership activities as required to fulfill the Strategic Plan or as noted below.
Duties:
Receive training if required and become proficient in the use of software tools to perform required duties and support the needs of the membership.
Routinely reach out to potential new members and encourage membership and other opportunities.
Create and implement effective strategies and campaigns to attract new members and maintain current membership.
Efficiently respond to membership related questions and issues, which may include questions about membership, renewals and benefits.
Represent and advocate the role of the society to existing and prospective members through various forms of communication.
Manage the ACCP New Ambassador Program, matching Ambassadors to New Members and engaging with New Members to find opportunities within the organization.
Prepare and implement dues renewals, including various forms of notifications, and document payments, plus maintain the required documentation for the annual audit.
For all membership materials and programs, maintain documentation, curate and collect data, track statistics and prepare reports.
Actively participate in elements of planning and supporting the ACCP Annual Meeting.
Support the Membership and Credentials Committees and Executive Director to develop and implement new promotional membership plans and materials, coordinate meetings and transcribe minutes.
Support the society and Staff in achieving the goals of the Strategic Plan.
Attend the ACCP Annual Meeting and also Board meetings in February, May and September.
Seek new, efficient ways to support Staff and its efforts to support ACCP activities.
Promote good will by representing ACCP at the Annual Meeting and other public-facing or Member-facing events.
Other assigned duties, as required, to support achieving society goals.

Undergraduate degree and minimum of three (3) years of experience in supporting the needs of a membership-based society, preferably including membership activities.
Experience with web-based iMIS AMS platform preferred, but at a minimum, solid experience in AMS management is preferred.
Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
Must have the ability to work effectively with others and assist others at critical points in the workflow.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be comfortable learning new software and systems as required.
A clean background check is required to be eligible for hire.
