The Director of Enterprise Services reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). He/she is an experienced, multidisciplinary leader with strong technical acumen and a demonstrated ability to lead several information technology projects simultaneously. This role is responsible for ensuring technology resources are properly aligned with the strategic goals of the association and corresponding objectives are met on schedule and within budget. The Director of Enterprise Services leads a team of technical professionals with diverse skillsets and coordinates the activities of outside partners and vendors to deliver solutions for enterprise application support and data services to the organization. He/she provides leadership and guidance to the team and ensures the team is working effectively, adhering to best practices, and providing world class support to the staff and members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the CIO to develop and execute the integrated data systems roadmap consistent with the strategic goals of the association.
Lead and motivate a team of information technology professionals in support of the association’s mission, including professional development and mentorship of all team members.
Identify and implement innovative business technology solutions to support the work of the association.
Collaborate and effectively communicate with business leaders to understand their needs and assess best fit technology solutions in support of business requirements.
Align business needs with technology strategies, streamline processes, maintaining efficient and high-quality operations.
Manage technical projects in Salesforce/Fonteva from beginning to end, including articulating technical requirements from program teams and then leading colleagues and vendors in ensuring the successful execution of those requirements.
Drive culture to continuously improve quality, efficiency, and standards across the technology team.
Participates in the establishment of policies, standards, procedures and security processes to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the association’s assets.
Maintain APA’s roadmap for enterprise digital transformation, continually improving services and support.
Conduct ongoing evaluations of all technology solutions to ensure goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
In collaboration with the CIO develops and controls the IT operating and capital expense budget and ensures costs remain within budget guidance
Ensures 99.9% uptime for all technology in use by association staff, external vendors and members.
Responsible for ensuring proper documentation of operating procedures, technical specifications and processes handled within systems.
Provide advanced technical troubleshooting of enterprise applications and resolution of issues
Works across the association and within development team to increase process automation wherever possible.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience in information technology and leading teams
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a Salesforce environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies and operational plans.
Expertise in analytical platform tooling and development.
Ability to develop and manage technology budget.
Must be a team player.
Strong management and people skills with the ability to hold people accountable.
Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills including executive level communications as well as the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the association.
