IMSA is accepting applications for a Marketing and Services Coordinator who will report directly to the Director of Membership, Marketing and Services of the organization and will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications, vast understanding of online and printed content, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This person supports the membership, marketing, publications, social media, website, and event activities. This person also provides primary phone support and other administrative duties as assigned.
Work with Director of Membership, Marketing and Services to create and manage an 18-month evolving marketing calendar.
Coordinate collateral development for each major service area of organization to include Forum & Expo, membership, volunteer services and certification program.
IMSA Journal - Serve as primary staff contact for bi-monthly magazine to include working with contractor to provide content (Calendar of Events, Job listings, Buyers Guide, Staff news, President’s and Executive Director’s columns) and mailing list. Assist with advertising inquiries as needed. Post issue to website.
IMSA E-Newsletter – Serve as primary staff contact working with contractor on advertising, paid content and story features; write content; schedule delivery per production schedule; post issue on website and social media.
Email Marketing – Draft and format content for as needed eblasts.
Social Media - Work with the Director of Membership, Marketing and Services to create a detailed social media calendar in conjunction with editorial content for the Journal; promote volunteer opportunities, membership, IMSA events etc…
Website – Update website content including membership, publications, resources etc…
Membership - Collaborate with the Director of Membership, Marketing and Services and Membership Coordinator to develop a comprehensive membership recruitment and retention plan and develop collateral including digital and print applications, forms and advertisements.
In conjunction with membership coordinator, manage IMSA’s job board and postings; work to centralize online job purchase and posting.
Assist with Forum & Expo as needed to include point of contact for booth sales, assist with sponsorships, product demos and other administrative tasks.
Work with contractor on sponsored webinars, set up event in association management system, schedule and promote webinar.
Order promotional items, signage etc… as needed.
Answer all incoming phone calls and direct to staff.
Follow up phone calls to all non-paid Active and Associate members.
Assist with data cleanup projects as assigned to include bounce back emails, missing data and other projects.
Minimum of an associate degree in communications, marketing, business, non-profit management, or related area.
Previous experience with web design, email marketing and social media.
Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Ability to balance projects, workload, and deadlines, and see projects through to completion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Association management systems (IMIS), WordPress and Constant Contact a plus.
Ability to travel a few times a year a maximum of seven days at a time.
