What you'll do:
- Oversee the management of all tradeshow operations including exhibitor application process, onsite space selection, floor plan management, exhibitor logistics, booth activities, marketing, and exhibitor communications
- Review, develop and execute the technical exhibition growth and exhibitor retention strategy. Identify new/emerging markets and unique exhibitor offerings to enhance and grow the exhibition
- Provide direct input on all aspects of exhibition management and support to maximize profit, exhibitor retention, and exhibitor satisfaction. Annually, review and measure performance for strategic improvements
- Collaborate to develop a sound exhibition budget, inclusive of forecasting revenue, monitoring expenditures, reconciling invoices, and identifying opportunities for reducing expenses while maintaining quality of exhibition
- Supervises staff. Provides employee development, performance management and guidance, including hiring, training, development, setting direction, evaluation, monitoring overall output and quality and proactively assessing professional development and resource needs.
- Maintain and implement department timelines, ensuring deadlines are met
- Develop and oversee the technical exhibit application process including space selection, exhibit space assignment, confirmation, invoice and floor plan management
- Assist in preparations of monthly sales and exhibitor status reports; Produce exhibitor statistics and maintain exhibit historical reports.
- Oversee strategic exhibitor communication and education plan to support Technical Exhibitors
- Collaborate to develop exhibitor and committee surveys to include clear data points and measurable insights. Review results to ensure the team considers data-driven results to implement actionable improvements for the exhibition
- Nurture existing relationships with exhibitors by providing excellent customer service to exhibiting companies
- Collaborate to prepare RFP specifications, analyze, recommend selection, and oversee contracting of service contractors for RSNA Annual Meeting
What you'll need:
- 7 – 10 years of experience in exhibition management; knowledge of virtual and hybrid meetings a plus
- Successful track record of leading and developing a hybrid team
- Must maintain a positive, friendly, professional attitude with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, including experience in strategic business discussions and the ability to use data to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Ability to multi-task with accuracy and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with exhibition management software
- Availability for10% travel, including working off-site at society’s annual meeting
- Certification in Exhibition Management (CEM) or similar professional meeting designation highly desirable
