The mission of the San Miguel Resource Center (SMRC) is to empower and advocate for individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through intervention and supportive services, while promoting social change through prevention education and community awareness.

Job Description

The SMRC is looking for an experienced executive director who is compassionate, confident, and willing to advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in an increasingly diverse, rural community. The ideal candidate is an accomplished nonprofit leader who has experience implementing inclusive and equitable practices, has a successful fundraising track record, is a skilled relationship builder, and demonstrates a commitment to ending violence in all forms. Spanish language skills and prior knowledge of interpersonal violence are both plusses but not requirements.

The SMRC Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization—board, staff, admin, programs, fundraising, communications, culture, and community relations. This position reports directly to the board of directors, supervises staff, and oversees a $1 million annual budget. The Executive Director works closely with the board, staff, and volunteer advocates to achieve SMRC’s mission to empower and advocate for individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.
