We are looking for someone who is a self-motivated individual with experience in the professional meetings and learning environment. In addition, association experience with knowledge of volunteers, membership and committees is also preferred. The Meetings and Education Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the success of all SDPA conferences and online education plus provides support in the areas of speaker and content management and online education programs.
The Coordinator works with the Conference Manager and Director of Education to ensure program logistics and necessary policies are completed, efficiently, effectively and within budget. Travel will be required to various education programs to ensure proper function of all continuing professional development events.

Essential Functions
Overall
- Manages necessary databases for successful execution of all educational programming
- Develops a means to track and maintain timelines and deadlines for review and execution of educational programming
- Review, edit, proof all education materials
- Works with Marketing to promote live and online offerings.
- Manage the evaluation process for CME programs, including assessment and reporting.
- Supports AV equipment, knows how to set up and use projectors, Zoom conferencing, and other technology relevant to support meetings, events and online learning.
- Becomes proficient in YM AMS, Cvent and Digitec LMS and their reporting capabilities.
ONLINE LEARNING/LMS
- Leads technical aspects of LMS content (uploads, program and revise LMS content); Manages the publication of online learning content; Update and maintain SDPA’s online Learning Management System as needed.
- Tracks LMS usage and user satisfaction. Provides customer service and technical support to members when using online content / resources and notifies enrolled learners of courses with expiring CME.
- Provides monthly data and reports on LMS usage, learner demographics, and course revenue and expenditure reports.
- Supports resources and storage of resources in the LMS and / or in other online areas. Maintains current links, reviews existing content for relevancy and deletes old content and information in all systems.
- Serve as primary support for webinar attendees
- Provides customer service and technical support to members when using online content / resources and notifies enrolled learners of courses with expiring CME.
VOLUNTEERS/REGISTRANTS
- Tracks all required speaker materials
- Manage all aspects of Cvent, including collection and scoring of poster abstracts
- Responsible for the overall registration process and providing the necessary information to the conference management company.
- Run registration reports, maintain attendee lists
- Support registration needs, shipping requirements, and logistics for all meetings.
COMMITTEE
- Coordinate SDPA’s Diplomate Fellowship Program
- Supports and facilitates the Diplomate Fellowship online learning community.
- Fulfills registration and textbook orders for the Diplomate Fellowship program and maintains the monthly list of graduate completion data
Skills
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in conference planning, project management, and educational programming, with preferred experience in the not-for-profit, professional association industry.
- Healthcare association experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.

- Creative problem solving; calm/cheerful demeanor under pressure.
- Outstanding customer service.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced, team environment and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Experience with meetings and learning management software (Cvent, Crowd Wisdom), Microsoft Office applications and website/apps.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and within a team environment.
- CMP eligible preferred
- Cvent certified a plus
