The Membership Manager is responsible for driving membership on-boarding, engagement, and retention. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the member application and renewal processes; supporting member on-boarding and engagement efforts; data collection, management, and analysis; developing and managing reports and dashboards; and providing exceptional member and customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Execute and measure the success of membership retention strategies; manage engagement tactics that increase awareness among members of key resources and benefits.
2. Support new member on-boarding and engagement efforts by developing and managing campaigns and reporting back to staff and leadership.
3. Manage and evolve new member application and candidacy process.
4. Support data collection and analysis to better understand members and stakeholders within the industry.
5. Oversee annual membership renewal cycle and develop creative strategies that increase renewals year to year.
6. Manage TIA Connect member engagement platform, including general maintenance and encouraging member use.
7. Support member acquisition efforts by managing non-member data and collaborating strategically with others in the organization.
8. Oversee daily management of the iMIS database ensuring quality data is being entered and stored properly; monitor integrity reports and develop processes to address errors and inefficiencies.
9. Provide excellent member and customer service; manage member services knowledge management and inquiry tracking system

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• 2-4 years relevant experience in a membership organization that includes managing the membership life cycle and understanding of member experience and value.
• Knowledge of common membership databases, preferably iMIS.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and frequently used applications like Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Accurate, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting assigned deadlines.
• Excellent telephone and in-person customer service skills.
• Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to proofread and edit reports, journals, and procedural manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and the general public.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of opinions and pull into a concise and achievable goal.
• Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; ability to read financial reports; ability to utilize human resource systems; and the ability to use association management software and customer relationship software. Experience with iMIS and Higher Logic a plus.
