IAAP, the International Association of Accessibility Professionals is looking to hire an Account Representative to support and grow organizational members. The Account Representative will be responsible for engaging active and new members on benefits and new service offerings.
The IAAP Organizational Account Representative is responsible for finding, creating, and maintaining customer accounts and serves as the primary point of contact for organizations. The position communicates regularly with organizational member representatives, introduces new benefits/services, supports proposal writing, and addresses member concerns through quarterly check-ins.
The position reports to the Managing Director and will work closely with the Membership Services & Outreach Manager. The Account Representative will be responsible for proactively contacting and engaging in a dialogue with organizational members.
Duties will include:
Staying up to date with current and prospective organization membership accounts.
Communicating with organizational members and addressing any concerns.
Monitoring member communications and promptly responding to calls and emails.
Securing quarterly status meetings.
Supporting membership invoices and recording all client transactions.
Maintaining records for member accounts and providing monthly status reports.
Collaborating with a variety of different departments to better serve the membership needs such as the accounting and marketing teams.
Promoting additional benefits, products, and services to existing members.
A successful Account Representative prospect must be highly organized and have a skill set to handle all aspects of their job duties, including:
Marketing and sales.
Excellent computer skills to manage accounts and records.
Multi-tasking skills for handling multiple membership accounts.
Strong customer service skills for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with current and new members.
Excellent organization skills to keep meticulous records for member accounts and maintain multiple accounts.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills for maintaining good relationships with members and addressing concerns promptly to increase customer satisfaction.
Problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing member concerns.
Additional Salary Information: This is a part-time virtual 20-30 hours per week position. The position has the possibility of increasing to 40 hours weekly. Compensation will include a fixed and a variable component commensurate with the candidate’s time commitment and achievements.
