Program Manager, Transportation Systems

Position Duties include: Manage transportation operations to annual allotted budget by account code. Track all revenue and expense allocated to transportation account codes and work with managing director of transportation systems to ensure we are efficiently utilizing resources. Provide periodic transportation account updates to PCI Transportation Activities Council (TrAC) leadership. Serve as a staff liaison and assist volunteer council and committee members with activities. Responsible for the non-technical, organizational management of ASPIRE-The Concrete Bridge Industry Magazine, serving as the point of contact for all authors submitting materials during production of a given issue. This includes the collecting of all manuscripts, photos, figures, copyright and photo permission releases, captions, and author biographies. Facilitation of Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) review of the manuscripts by providing them with relevant information, tracking responses and compiling comments. Serve as liaison with EAB members, supporters, including advertorial requests. Manage ASPIRE mailing list and coordinate commission to be paid to advertising sales representative. Provide administrative management of transportation related contracts awarded to PCI by governmental agencies and others to include managing subaward contracts, monthly billings and progress reports and overall schedule and tracking of the contract to maximum contract budget. This includes working with others within PCI to ensure balloting with committees and comment resolution is completed. Specifically work with the PCI committees to develop and publish reports, books, manuals and literature that will accomplish the core purpose identified by TrAC. Serve as process manager for each publication. This includes proofread manuscript, documenting process reviews, correspondence, and ballots. Create the work order and work with PCI Production Dept to create the business plan, design, layout and print. Assist the managing director with resources are needed to stimulate committee attendance, enthusiasm, and fruitful activity. This may include social media and outward facing communications. Other general duties include coordination of travel for managing director, transportation systems and other stakeholders, such as state highway officials traveling to PCI events.

Candidate must have good organizational skills and be very proficient in Acrobat DC; DropBox; ZOOM, Goto platform, MS Outlook, MS TEAMS, MS WORD and MS Excel. Candidate will need to use online self-service portals/applications to create timesheet and pay bills. Candidate should communicate well in a written and oral manner. Candidate will use KSA to reconcile month job costs accounting to general ledgers from account unit. Candidate will need to be a self-starter and flexible with a diverse array of daily activities. Travel Requirements: Limited domestic travel required (2 to 6 trips per year) Work experience: 5 to 10 years’ experience in general association management. Educational Requirement: 2-year associates degree or 4-year Bachelor of Arts. Addition certifications in project management and/or journalism are preferred but not required. |
