The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the premier international membership association for physicians, researchers, and medical professionals, who are dedicated to conquering lung and thoracic cancers worldwide.  We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our efforts in getting the word out about amazing advancements in the treatment of lung cancer.

Day to day, the Marketing Coordinator will create engaging content for different digital and print media channels, build relationships with teams across the organization, and support the execution of various activities in the Marketing and Communications department. This will include developing content for newsletters, social media posts, email marketing, and more.  The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker who can work under pressure and meet tight timelines while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, execute and track email, digital, social media, and content campaigns, creating original content, conducting market research, and identifying trends.
  • Create and coordinate marketing projects/plans from start to finish with acute attention to detail.
  • Create comprehensive social media toolkits for use during our worldwide meetings.
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums for clarity, accuracy, completeness, AP Style, brand adherence, and consistent voice, including monthly scripts for C-Suite and Board
  • Provide responsive service to direct requests from internal teams for marketing content and support.
  • Coordinate with team members to deliver multiple monthly newsletters to members.
  • Monitor, post, track and contribute content for social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. Must be able to use a content calendar for posting and planning purposes.
  • Design, produce and execute email marketing campaigns for program areas as necessary.
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure that brand guidelines are met.
  • Create strong content for internal, print and social channels.
  • Evaluate and monitor digital campaign performance on an ongoing basis by tracking, analyzing and reporting key performance metrics.
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs.
  • Actively support and demonstrate IASLC core values.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, social or digital media, or a similar role
  • Strong technology skills and aptitude for learning and adapting to new platforms, including but not limited to ExactTarget email platform, Drupal-based website, Google AdWords & Analytics
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and Adobe Suite
  • Experience with InDesign or Adobe Illustrator and Premier Pro a plus
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent command of written English and strong editing skills with a high degree of attention to detail and copy accuracy. Must have solid understanding of AP Style guidelines
  • Ability to read/write languages other than English is not required, but a definite plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing, organization, time management, and project management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Compensation:  Minimum $50,000 annually.
