Job Summary The Vice President of Accreditation is responsible for establishing and launching an industry-wide accreditation program that promotes the effective delivery of quality care to individuals with autism. This is a unique and exciting role, as the VP of Accreditation will be building and sustaining an accreditation program that will support the core mission of CASP - cultivating, sharing, and advocating for provider best practices in autism services. As such, this position requires a strategic leader with an understanding and history of working with quality and standards-setting initiatives within healthcare or human services. Candidates must possess an entrepreneurial skill set and the ability to work independently while interfacing regularly with the CASP Board of Directors, subject matter experts in autism services, and the CASP membership broadly. Essential Functions The CASP VP of Accreditation will be an entrepreneurial leader who will create and implement an industry-standard accreditation program. He or she will be the primary leader responsible for establishing and maintaining the CASP accreditation content and the accrediting process in alignment with the CASP mission and related initiatives such as the CASP Organizational Guidelines, Applied Behavior Analysis Practice Guidelines, and outcomes measurement initiatives. The purpose of accreditation is to raise the quality in autism services by disseminating best practices and assessing organizations to support them in achieving best practices. The VP of Accreditation must establish the offering’s positioning in the marketplace relative to other accreditation programs while also building points of value for those seeking accreditation. These value points will include improved quality and efficiency within the accreditee organizations but also external value such as recognition of the CASP accreditation by governmental or commercial entities that pay for autism services.
