ARGENTUM is the leading national trade association serving companies that own, operate, and support professionally managed senior living communities in the United States. Education is a key tenant of Argentum’s work and senior living’s growth and advancement. We are seeking a candidate for the Director of Programming position in Alexandria, VA. This position reports to the Vice President, Membership & Events and is an integral part of the Events and Membership team. The Director of Programming is responsible for the overall program development, delivery, administration, and supervision of all Argentum education programs to include in-person events, online education, and training programs. This involves the full life cycle from program development with internal stakeholders and advisory groups through program execution. Specific responsibilities include: - Manage the planning and administration of programming for all Argentum in-person events and webinars including content development, speaker recruitment, speaker management, program guide/flow management, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs), if applicable.
- Determine and manage the technology required for webinars or digital sessions, as well as serve as host when necessary.
- Manage programming for the Leadership Advancement & Development (LEAD) Program.
- Engage key stakeholders during content planning process to identify content strategy and organizational goals mapped to overall event themes.
- Work and collaborate closely with Argentum Editor on subject matter and content matters as well as the Call for submissions.
- Manage the Content Advisory Group consisting of 10-12 member/industry representatives.
- Manage evaluation tools to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
- Assist and consult in the development of future training programs.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports.
- Work closely with Argentum team members responsible for the other components of Argentum events including but not limited to marketing, housing, registration, meeting location and logistics (A/V), sponsor fulfillment and events held in conjunction with the meetings.
- Management and responsibility for the approved programming budget.
- Stay abreast of industry matters and important areas of industry focus through self-study, webinars, trade publications, and feedback mechanisms such Argentum’s staff, work groups, and executive roundtables.
Program Delivery for events to include: - Lead the planning and implementation of program content & speaker management for all educational live events and webinar programs.
- Schedule and run conference calls and meetings with key participants including meeting agendas, resources PPT decks and meeting notes.
- Create event agenda with key stakeholders to optimize attendee flow, different learning styles, speaker skills and event goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute as related to program content; theme, session descriptions, messaging, agendas, show flows, speaker search and procurement, presentations and presentation coaching/scripting and videos.
- Working closely with Argentum team members, identify and manage best onsite delivery and session types and set-up for all content (including session room logistics including room sets and floorplans, space planning, and A/V, electrical, internet and venue needs).
- Schedule and manage production meetings and speaker rehearsals.
- Manage and prepare, along with the Event Coordinator, all content for web and mobile app delivery.
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing team to deliver on-brand presentation templates for all events and manage content QA, content editing and content encoding.
- Measure results (evaluations, attendance, feedback) on all content and communicate findings back to key stake holders. Modify processes to adopt best practices and incorporate feedback as appropriate.
- Manage all content and speaker deliverables, coordinate with Marketing team to further promote event content.
