NBCRNA Mission: National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) promotes patient safety through credentialing programs that support lifelong learning. NBCRNA Vision: NBCRNA is recognized as the leader in advanced practice nurse credentialing. Nature and Scope of the NBCRNA: The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting patient safety by enhancing provider quality in the field of nurse anesthesia. We accomplish our mission through the development and implementation of credentialing programs that support lifelong learning among nurse anesthetists. Each year well over 2,400 individuals pass the NBCRNA’s National Certification Examination and can enter specialty nurse anesthesia practice. In addition, approximately 55,000 nurse anesthetists in the United States and its territories participate in the Continued Certification Program (CPC) throughout their careers. . Position Summary Responsible for providing analysis and monitoring of credentialing application process. Support for departmental credentialing initiatives. Excellent customer service via phone and email to external stakeholders, processing electronic credentialing applications, supporting graduate nurse anesthesia education programs needs as they interface with the NBCRNA, and assisting with special projects as needed on an ongoing basis.
