The Media Financial Management Association (MFM) seeks a marketing professional who can develop and implement programs to increase its membership. Our ideal candidate is a personable and energetic self-starter who enjoys a collaborative small office environment and will be confident when representing the Association in a variety of situations.
Participation in preparation of Association’s overall strategic plan
Creation and management of membership acquisition and retention campaigns including:
Social media outreach
Direct response – email and mail
Prospective member follow-up
Oversee design, development, and production of membership and program materials such as brochures, flyers, letters, announcements, and advertisements
Marketing activities for annual conference, Media Finance Focus
Compile member/non-member prospect lists for registration mailings
Distribute invitations to specific events (e.g. CFO Roundtable, Committee Luncheon)
Attend to both help with overall event and to drive awareness for MFM membership
Leadership and development of strategies to grow Young Professional Committee
Serve as liaison to Membership Committee and to specific industry-segment committees
Process new members and send appropriate correspondence
Maintain accurate membership database
Generate pacing reports
Compile and evaluate demographical, statistical, and other membership reports
Monthly dues invoicing and processing (in conjunction with Administrative and Marketing Coordinator)
Initiate actions to recover lapsed members
Represent MFM at specific industry events to increase awareness and recruit new members
Participate in identified continuing education programs intended to improve membership programs and performance
Preparation of quarterly goals and participation in monthly goals meetings with Association President & CEO
Some travel, primarily to Association’s annual conference and regional events
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent written, verbal, organizational, time management, and customer service skills along with good attention to detail are required. High level of initiative and creativity, and excellent follow-through is essential. The ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with members and present a positive image of MFM through these communications is crucial. Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, SEO, and social networking preferred along with ability and willingness to learn new software and programs as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management or applicable field preferred.
