The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is the professional organization of the $214 billion third-party logistics industry. TIA is the only organization exclusively representing transportation intermediaries of all disciplines doing business in domestic and international commerce. TIA is the voice of transportation intermediaries to shippers, carriers, government officials and international organizations. TIA is the United States member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarder Associations (FIATA). We are seeking a proactive and member-focused Membership Manager to lead and manage the database (iMIS); keeping it accurate, safe, and up to date, developing and managing reports, dashboards, and information necessary for data-based decisions; managing the production of the TIA Membership Directory; internal membership payments and batches, managing the interface between iMIS and other databases; and providing exceptional member services. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Accurately manage the AMS (iMIS database); performs database functions including maintenance of member and non-member data, monitoring consistency of member data entry, reviewing member data for accuracy and to ensure completeness.
- Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for accuracy and play an important role in data-driven decision making through data mining and membership reporting.
- Play a key role in maintaining a 92%-member retention and onboarding tactics through the management of the Association’s membership engagement scorecard.
- Help to determine opportunities for process improvement and keep abreast of accepted departmental processes
- Provide excellent member service in responding to member requests and inquiries.
- Annually, working with our (Naylor); manage the production of the Association’s Membership Directory
- Manage the interface of Association members to various third-party websites on a weekly basis.
- Manage the interface between the database and other software platforms used by the Association through management of third-party integrators.
- Ensure a high-level of customer service, email accuracy and interface with the accounting system on a weekly basis.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership or Vice President of Membership.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: - Three to five years of experience preferably in an association or non-profit environment.
- College degree preferred.
- Organized self-starter capable of making independent decisions affecting the development and implementation of the sales, marketing, communication, database, and member services goals of the Strategic Plan.
- Accurate, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting assigned deadlines.
- Excellent telephone and in-person customer service skills.
- Foster and build relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Adapt quickly to new information, requirements, and priorities.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate level proficiency using MS Office required.
- Association membership database experience required. iMIS experience a plus.
