For more than 35 years, the Coalition for Government Procurement (“the Coalition”) has brought together public and private sector procurement leaders to work towards the mutual goal of common sense acquisition. The Coalition is a non-profit trade association of government contractors that offer the latest services and products from the commercial market to Federal agencies. We are unique in the broad scope of industries that we represent—from IT, professional services, and security-related firms to pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
The Coalition is seeking an experienced policy analyst. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Public Policy. Job responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the delivery of acquisition policy information to Coalition members
Serving as primary contact for assigned policy committees. This includes providing subject matter expertise, planning and facilitating meetings with committee chairs, relevant CGP staff, and guest speakers as appropriate.
Addressing committee action items and responding to member questions related to assigned committees.
Representing the association at government and industry meetings.
Conducting acquisition-related research.
Maintaining a working knowledge of policy issues of importance to Coalition members.
2. Working with management to communicate association policy positions to the government
Coordinating with policy team on communications strategy and preparing public comments, policy papers, presentations, etc.
3. Assisting in maintaining relevant, timely, interactive communications with members
Preparing and updating relevant policy related content for Coalition website and Member portal.
Manage the planning and publication of weekly newsletter.
4. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Government, Economics or related major (Master’s degree a plus)
2-4 years professional experience
Excellent writing skills
Ability to multi-task and remain flexible in fast-paced work environment

The Coalition for Government Procurement (“The Coalition”) is a non-profit association of firms selling commercial services and products to the Federal Government. Our members collectively account for approximately 70% of the sales generated through the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program and about half of the commercial item solutions purchased annually by the Federal Government. Coalition members include small, medium, and large business concerns.
