The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions for ASPEN, a 501(c)3 membership organization and two affiliates. This is a hands-on, full time role for a proven accountant who is looking to establish themselves in a role with advancement opportunity. Areas of responsibility include:
Funds management through AMS for dues, registrations, sales, and chapters
Enforcement of fiscal policies, procedures and internal controls
Assists with financial statements, budget forecasting and program analysis
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field required.
5-7 years of previous accounting experience, with non-profit experience for at least 3 years.
Knowledge of Intacct software, or similar accounting software packages
Experience with working with an organization with affiliates is a plus
Superior attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills
Accountability, integrity and strong sense of professionalism
