The Advertising Campaign Manager is a full-time, exempt position in the Marketing team, which oversees advertising and promotions, publications, external public relations, and our web, social media, and video production activities. We seek a motivated and experienced candidate with ad copywriting skills and integrated marketing campaign management experience to join our team of 7 people. This candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and FUN team environment, supporting the strategic initiatives of the organization through the end of 2020.
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer, Barbershop Harmony Society
Roles and Responsibilities
Campaign management (individual campaigns for conventions, Harmony University, education programs, membership, Marketplace, etc.) -- work with CMO, Marketing team, and program owner on campaign strategy, planning and design, messaging, copywriting, targeting, etc.
Monitoring and analysis of campaign results, conversion rates, ROI analysis
Digital advertising (Facebook, Google AdWords, display, etc.) -- set-up, working with outside vendors, writing copy, overseeing design (with Graphic Designer and/or Video Manager), monitoring results, adjusting as needed, etc.
Print advertising -- working with publications for reservations and placement, copywriting, overseeing design (with Graphic Designer), etc.
Direct mail -- copywriting, overseeing design (with Graphic Designer), working with printer, determining list, monitoring results, ROI analysis
Other targeted marketing (email campaigns, A/B testing, etc.)
Manage advertising budget, MROI analysis
Some limited travel (2-4 times per year)
College degree, in business or marketing preferred
At least 3 years experience managing and overseeing marketing/advertising campaigns, including writing copy and overseeing ad production
Portfolio of ads / copywriting / direct marketing; examples of campaigns and results
Nonprofit and/or association experience a plus
Knowledge of music / singing / barbershop a plus
Collaborative, team player
Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction
Experience managing an advertising budget
