As the Chapter and Partner Relations Coordinator at NACE, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, administrative support and project management to key stakeholders. You’ll be the primary point of contact for NACE chapters for support with reporting and compliance, governance, membership, or other operational areas. You’ll also support NACE’s sponsor/business partner programs by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of partner benefits and services, and proactively helping partners fully activate and leverage their involvement. This position also provides departmental administrative support and customer service.
Communicate proactively with chapter leaders regarding chapter reporting requirements and timelines
Collect and review chapter reporting to ensure compliance and identify trends and issues
Produce reports on chapter operations, KPIs and dues rebates
Assist CLC staff liaison (Director of Member, Chapter & Partner Relations) in arranging meetings, working with chair on creating agenda, take and distribute meeting notes and provide general communications to the group regarding their activities
Assist in writing, producing and distributing the chapter communications and e-newsletters
Maintain relevant portions of the NACE web site.
Manage, maintain and foster participation in online chapter leader communities
Assist with creating and curating tools and resources for chapter use
Chapter Leadership Conference (Evolve)
Facilitate the registration process, badges, ordering supplies and materials as appropriate
Assist Director of Member, Chapter & Partner Relations in developing, maintaining and producing schedules, agendas, handouts, speaker rosters and similar details
Ensure proper follow-up is completed i.e. surveys, packet content, documentation of leader comments and requests
Research potential new partners to contact
Provide customer support and guidance to partners to help them fully activate deliverables
Track deliverables for partners
Assist with preparation and scheduling of regular reports for partners
Work with Marketing Manager on chapter logistics for NACE presence at industry tradeshows and events
Assist with NACE customer service as needed and other duties as assigned
3-5 years of experience at a trade or professional association required, with direct experience in chapter/component relations. Associate degree or higher in a relevant discipline, or a combination of significant work experience and other credentials. You should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a team environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills are a must. You must be able to travel for work occasionally and perform occasional work on weekends.
