As the Manager of Programs & Education for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), you will manage and support the development of all WICT training programs, educational initiatives (including online learning), and conference educational programing.
With supervision and support from the vice president of educational programs, and managing two direct reports, you will manage the logistics, communications (both internal and with program participants), and reporting and database management for all program offerings, including budget management and grant management. You will work in conjunction with the Events team to determine details of program schedules and other logistical needs to ensure program success. You will manage the department’s technology needs, including registration and database software, website content management, and online attendee and program management tools.
You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (including the corporate board, speakers, planning committee, staff, and volunteers) to ensure WICT programmatic offerings meet the high-quality standards expected by attendees, members, and companies. To ensure quality, you will manage program faculty and education vendors, in conjunction with the vice president of educational programs. You will also oversee the candidate selection processes for all application-based programs, including the prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.

Responsibilities of the Manager of Programs & Education
Manage all training programs, educational initiatives, and conference educational programing, providing seamless customer service.
Develop and support online learning initiatives and education programming for annual conferences.
Manage budgets, ensuring they are realistic and clear, continually monitoring for accuracy and concerns.
Oversee the candidate selection processes for all application-based programs.
Manage departmental processes, reporting, and technology.
Create and manage multiple project plans at varying stages of completion.
Execute plans and logistics for each program.
Manage communications with all stakeholders (internal and external) in a timely and accurate fashion.
Supervise and coach the department assistant including reporting and database management.
Draft meeting minutes and program correspondence.
Work closely with all staff to ensure project goals are being met and to promote awareness of pertinent details, risks, challenges, and improvements.
Interface with program participants and other corporate stakeholders.
Initiate and contribute to program management best practices and innovation.
Supervise administrative personnel and relevant vendor contacts.
Travel to attend and supervise some onsite programs.
Qualifications of the Manager of Programs & Education
Seven years of experience in administration, program project management, and development, with a preferred minimum of two years in the not-for-profit, professional association, or media industries.
Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related area and/or equivalent experience and education.
Prior success meeting budget goals within a programs and/or education department.
High comfort level with registration and database software programs, website content management, and online attendee and program management. Experience with collaboration and project management software (e.g., Basecamp) preferred.
Experience with vendor management and administrative supervision preferred.
Proven customer service abilities across varied settings including office, onsite, phone, and web.
