This position is responsible for oversight of membership recruitment and retention in order to meet headquarters objectives and overall membership growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the execution of multi-level and integrated membership recruitment and retention in support of the strategic objectives of The IIA.
Directly oversee the strategy and execution of The IIA’s career center, including acquiring new postings, sponsorships, and long-term growth.
Work in collaboration with our marketing team to oversee the onboarding of our new members to ensure awareness and understanding of member benefits and services.
Oversee the renewal process including managing all communications and identifying at-risk members in order to retain them.
Manage two full-time positions that provide high-level support for our top members, serving as the primary points of contact for their membership and to educate them on products and services available. Additionally, facilitating transactions, resolving issues, and updated memberships as needed.
Work in coordination with the Director, North American Membership to ensure the member value proposition is clearly and consistently communicated through all channels (i.e., Web, social media, and marketing collateral.)
Maintain and assist with the launch of new technological tools to help enhance the membership experience.
Analyze monthly and yearly membership trends and prepare membership dashboard report for distribution.
Collaborate with other departments to increase awareness of the benefits of The IIA and implement departmental strategic plans.
Represent The IIA at industry events such as tradeshows and conferences promoting the organization and its value proposition.
Assist Director, NA Membership and Vice President, Member Development and Engagement with special projects as assigned.
This position may require up to 10% travel.
Intermediate to expert level of competency with all Microsoft office products. Use of a client management software such as netFORUM and survey tools a plus.
Directs and leads two exempt positions and one intern. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these staff.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; establishing yearly goals and objectives and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent; and five to seven years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in an association or individual membership organization is preferred, as is marketing experience.
Experience with international organizations would be an asset to The IIA and its global goals.
