The Communication & Event Programming Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Copper Development Association public affairs/outreach efforts including serving as the primary point of contact for all program managers and vendors working to promote CDA programs.
Individual must possess strong project management, verbal and written skills, be confident interacting with senior-level executives, and be efficient and effective in an environment with numerous tight deadlines on a variety of projects. Additional requirements include the ability to work autonomously; outstanding organizational, communication and collaborative skills; writing and/or editing experience; rigorous attention to detail; and a proven sense of initiative and ownership.
Responsible for coordinating and executing all internal and external messaging to promote and defend the positive image of copper
Coordinate media opportunities for CDA program managers by fielding media inquiries that pertain to their industry
Assist CDA programs in the posting of content to Copper.org
Review, proofread, and finalize all CDA promotional content for Copper.org
Primary relationship manager with Communications Agency from an overall CDA standpoint with regard to the general program
Coordinate with Communications Agency on all Press Releases that originate from CDA
Produce written content for ThinkCopper across all industry and product council
Responsible for managing all aspects of the AntimicrobialCopper.com website for the US region
Prepares AntimicrobialCopper.com monthly metrics
Manages all Antimicrobial Copper Social Media outreach
Works with all CDA managers and staff with specific to their communication and reporting content for members
Develop and deliver consistent and useful information to CDA members regarding the activities and achievements of CDA:
Produce the Annual Newsletters for CDA Spring and Winter Meetings
Interact with ICA Communication Teams in an effort to coordinate and promote ongoing efforts across the various regions
Responsible for managing the approval process of related communications.
Trade show coordination for various CDA programs, to include: liaising with appropriate program manager, materials fulfillment vendor, show vendor, show services vendor and other CDA staff as appropriate.
Contract show space and manage necessary documentation; contract show services and manage necessary documentation
Coordinate and contract booth development, production and delivery
Coordinate CEU fulfillment and delivery, and support of awarding CEU credits and delivery for AIA programming.
Coordinates and helps set up the Spring and Winter Meetings logistics.
Supervisory Responsibility: N/A
Fiscal Duties: The Communication & Event Programming Coordinator has no direct financial supervisory responsibility or authority, but does have fiscal duties related to soliciting and receiving bids, processing invoices, and operating within established budgetary parameters

Serve on appropriate MCI USA Matrix Management Teams
Function as a MCI USA Team Member in accordance with MCI USA’s corporate vision and guiding principles
Education and Experience
3-5 years of professional experience working in corporate and/or nonprofit communications
Demonstrated Project Management experience
Public Affairs/Journalism experience highly regarded
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent editing and proofreading skills; detail-oriented
