Who we are looking for:
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Director of Licensing to lead the operations of the Licensing Division, working with the team to ensure budget goals and other results are met or exceeded, and to collaborate on strategic initiatives that advance the division's short- and long-term goals.
What you will do:
You will supervise, develop, and coach Licensing & Rights Managers and Rights & Permissions Coordinator to ensure optimal capacity, engagement, and training of division staff and smooth, timely operations
With Division Director, you will lead team in updating the 3-year strategic plan and implementing new strategic initiatives
Maintain strong, collaborative relationships and communications with staff at all levels of the organization in order to optimize the two-way flow of product and licensing information
Direct the commercial reprint sales operations
Oversee development and monitoring of the division budget
Ensure that new licensing projects comply with ASCO's Licensing Standards
What you will need in order to be successful:
College degree, ideally in a business-related field
At least 10 years of experience in managing/leading content licensing operations, preferably in a nonprofit setting
At least 5 years of staff supervision
Experience with contract drafting and legal processes
Excellent staff coaching, mentoring, development skills
