Position Description The role of the Education & Accreditation Specialist is to ensure timely processing of customer requests (both internal and external), manage the accreditation process and education scheduling. Strong customer service skills a must. Meeting planning and an understanding of adult education preferred.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Education Course Planning
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
Communicate with prospective candidates via phone and email on process and status
Process applications and demos submitted for grading
Follow-up communication with candidates and graders/ chairs
Education General Tasks
Prepare and post education schedule on website via AMS
Hotel contract & coordination for course offerings, including set up, BEOs and invoices, instructor rooming lists
On-site management of classroom attendance
Oversee the post course evaluation process
Work with chapters in selecting seminars, posting their meeting to the website and taking registrations
Negotiate hotel contracts and facilitate all meeting specs
Sense of urgency in responding to customer needs.
Proven customer service skills and follow through with timely communication.
Strong project management experience working against deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with Adobe Connect and PDF docs.
Must be self motivated with attention to detail and a results oriented attitude.
Strong organizational skills required.
Impeccable skills in use of the English language, both verbal and written.
Must be confident and comfortable interacting and communicating with all association stakeholders.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet production timelines.
Light travel twice a year.
